Our Unexpected Rescue Adventure: Jimmy and Cookie

Back in early 2011 we attended an outdoor festival in downtown Orlando with absolutely no intention of coming home with 2 puppies.  Maybe we would look...and maaaybe come home with one was the thought. 

As we made our way through the festival we came upon upon a rescue group called RAIN, and they had two adorable pups who would from that point on be known to us as Jimmy and Cookie. They had the sweetest eyes, my wife wanted one, and my son was set on another onw.  Before I knew what happened we were filling out adoption papers!

Here’s what made it all happen:

• The Instant Connection: From the moment we met Jimmy and Cookie, it was clear they were meant for us (or at least Cookie for my wife and Jimmy for my son).  I got to love on them both.
• No Plan, Just Love: We had simply come to enjoy the fair and maybe scope out the recue area...but their playful energy captured our hearts.
• Double the Fun: What started as potentially a solo adoption quickly turned into bringing home two new family members!

It was a day full of surprises, and we couldn't have been more excited to start a new chapter of life with Jimmy and Cookie by our sides.  That was a long time ago, and with both of them now gone, I have begun to to wonder about how the process will unfold this time around.
